Solar powered water features
can make a boring garden beautiful and a beautiful garden magical.
A rich variety of floral life is often complimented by more stable,
less organic accents. Of course, the calming melody of running water
will tie such an accent back into the atmosphere. This is also true
for lawns. In addition to that, many decks can certainly stand to
be livened up with such a feature.
Here are some solar powered water features which can be added to
a garden:
•Birdbaths - Update a current birdbath with a small solar floating
fountain or a de-icer to invite birds all winter long. It is also
possible to purchase a solar powered birth bath fountain in its entirety.
Other solar birdbaths may have orbs or lanterns which light up at
night.
•Pond - A solar pond pump can be used to circulate the water
within a pond, creating a healthy environment for fish. A submerged
pump can also create a fountain for display. Of course, as with a
birdbath, a floating fountain is also appropriate.
•Waterfall or stream - Use a solar powered pump to create a
waterfall or stream that flows directly into your pond. It is also
possible to have one that seems to flow directly into the pond while,
in actuality, the water simply circulates back to the top.
•Fountain or spitter - While fountains can be used in conjunction
with a pond or pool or other water feature, there are also ones that
stand alone. The beauty of water can be brought right to the patio
or even a tabletop. There is no need for a garden or even a backyard
to enjoy these options.
Keep in mind that in order for solar powered water features to work
at night and on cloudy days, a battery pack should be purchased along
with them.
Solar powered water features capture the beauty of nature and natural
processes. This is especially true when they are incorporated into
a gardenlike area. Along with the aesthetics they provide, these décor
options pay homage to the natural world with their respect for the
environment. By operating on solar power, these fountains do not necessitate
the production of harmful emissions as creating electricity from fossil
fuels does. So enjoy the luxury of beautiful water features without
any gratuitous energy usage.
